Dac 11g Preinstallation Requirements

Prerequisites for installing the DAC Client and Server:
1. Installaton of informatica
2. Download the file Oracle Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console
3. Create a repository user which will store the dac object

Informatica 9.1 Pre-installation Requirements on linux

1. Minimum P-4 processor or higher is required
2. Minimum 4gb ram or higher is required
3. Minimum 20gb hard disk is required
4. Linux distribution and version which supports the informatica installation
5. At least one database has to be installed
6. Temporary disk space is minimum 1gb for installer and minimum 2gb for informatica services
7. Create a system user account for installing informatica
8. We have to set up the Domain configuration repository
9. We have to determine the available ports for informatica
10. Set the environment variables
11. We have to set up a key stroke and file descriptor settings
12. We have to set up database parameters, users and table spaces before installing informatica.

Oracle Database 11g Pre-installation Requirements on linux

1. Minimum 1 GB of Ram , Recommended 2 GB or more
2. Swap size must be 1.5 times the size of the Ram
3. Minimum 1gb space of hard disk size is required for /tmp space
4. For software files minimum 4.35 gb of hard disk space is required
5. For data files 1.7 gb hard disk space is minimum
6. The minimum screen resolution for oracle database is 1024 x 768
7. The distribution and version of linux must be supported by the oracle database.
8. Required packages must be installed in the os before installing the database
9. Certain kernel parameter values must be changed before installing database.
10. Additional software requirements like oracle jdbc and oci drevirs has to be installed.
11. Create an user account for installing database.

PREREQUISITE STEPS FOR INSTALLING HYPERION 11.1.2.3 ON WINDOWS 7

1. Turn off UAC:

To turn off  UAC
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.


























2. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.

















3. In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.

















4. In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.

















5. If  UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
6. Clear the Use User Account Control ( UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK.





















7. Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later, and then close the User Accounts tasks window.

2. Enabling IIS Service:

























GO TO – Start – Control Panel

















Click on Uninstall a Program
















Click on Turn Windows features on or off
















Select Internet information services and click ok
















Close it and restart the system

3. Adding host name and ip address in host file :

Go TO C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
Open the ( host ) file with notepad and add system ip addresses and host name


















4. Install dot net frame work 4.0
5. Install Microsoft mse 3.0
6. Install office 2010
7. Copy database folder into EPM 11.1.2.3 SOFTWARE extracted folder

Now start installation by right clicking on wizard file and open it in run as administrative mode

STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION OF SHARE POINT SERVER 2010

Download and stage the software

Go to->my computer->softwares->SharePoint 2010->double click setup.exe file



















Select install software prerequisites and click enter



















In the welcome screen click next



















In the License terms for software products screen , accept the license and click next



















Now the setup prepares the list of products to install

























































































































































































































All the products required are prepared Now we have to restart the system in order to install the prerequisites

Installation of prerequisites started







































Prerequisites installation completed
Click finish

Again Go to->my computer->softwares->share point 2010->double click setup.exe file



















Click on install share point server




















Give the product key and click continue




















Accept the license agreement and click continue




















Now we hav to choose the installation type .
Here I choose standalone method



























































Tick run the share points configuration wizard now and click close





















Click next





















Choose yes to restart the services

Product configuration wizard started










































Configuration was successful
Click finish
Now the default share point web application homepage opens

OBIA Upgrade from 7.9.6.x to 7.9.6.4

1. Install OBIEE 11g and OBIA 7.9.6.4 on new server.
2. Take the backup of rpd and catalog from lower versioned server and copy them the new server.
3. In the new server navigate to ORACLE_HOME\bin directory and run the upgrade assistant ua.bat
4. In the welcome screen click next
5. In specify operation screen , select upgrade Oracle BI RPD and Presentation Catalog and click next
6. In the specify source details screen
a) select Upgrade Repository (RPD)
b) Browse the copied lower version rpd
c) Provide rpd login credentials
d) Provide new password for the upgraded rpd
e) Select Upgrade Catalog
f) Browse the lower version catalog directory 
g) Click next
7. In the specify weblogic server screen, provide weblogic user name, password and port of new server and click next
8. In the Examining components screen, if the status got succeeded click next
9. In the Upgrade summary screen , click Upgrade to start the upgrade process
10. In the Upgrading components screen , if the status got succeeded click next
11. In the Upgrade Success screen , review the summary and click close to finish the upgrade process.
12. Verify the upgraded rpd and calalog

Steps for installing Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4.0

Pre-requisites:

1. OBIEE 11g must be installed, up and running
2. We need to have weblogic server details ( user name , password and port )
3. Informatica and Dac are not mandatory for this installation

Downloading the software:

1. Download the software from https://edelivery.oracle.com
2. Login to edelivery.
3. In search type Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4.0 , select the platform we want and click continue.
4. Click continue.
5. Accept the license agreement and click continue.
6. Click on the ( V35873-01.zip Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4 ) to download the software.
7. Extract the downloaded software.

Installing OBIA 7.9.6.4 :

1. Go to software folder , right click on the setup file and select run as administrator.
2. In the welcome screen click next.
3. In the specify installation location screen , specify obiee ORACLE_HOME, INSTANCE_HOME and DOMAIN_HOME locations and click next.
4. In the weblogic administration server details screen , provide weblogic port, user name  and password and click next.
5. In the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4 you would like to install screen, select the components to install and click next.
6. In the please read the summary information below screen, verify the summary and click next.
7. Now we will get the below screens:
a) Installing Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4. Please wait..
b) Stopping the BIEE domain. It may take several minutes. Please wait..
c) Starting OPMN managed components. It may take several minutes. Please wait..
8. In the please read the summary information below screen, click finish to complete the installation.
