Installing and Configuring Oracle Web Tier

Software Requirements:
Processor Type : Intel Xeon or Pentium IV
Processor Speed : 2.4 GHz or higher
Number of Processors : 1 or more
Memory : minimum 20 GB
Operating System : Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 Update 5

Prerequisites:
Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3 must be installed and configured with a domain

Installing Oracle Web Tier:
To install Oracle Web Tier Utilities suite of products, perform the following steps:
1 . Open a new terminal and navigate to the staged location for the Linux installable.
Run the following command:
$ cd /stage
$./runInstaller
Click Next in the Welcome screen



















Select Install Software - Do Not Configure and click Next

















If all the prerequisites check passed click next



















In the specify installation location screen specify the path and click next



















In the specify security updates screen uncheck the option
click next
click yes



















In the installation summary screen click install



















In the installation progress screen if the process completes 100% click next



















In summary screen click finish



















Navigate to the Web_Tier_Oracle_Home/bin directory and run the configuration tool to configure

$cd /u01/app/oracle/product/fmw/11.1.1.1/as_4/bin
$./config.sh




In the welcome screen click next



















In configure components screen select all the options and click next



















In specify weblogic domain screen provide the weblogic server details and click next



















In specify component details screen click next



















In the web cache administrator password screen provide the password and click next



















In the auto port configuration screen select auto port configuration and click next



















In specify security updates screen uncheck the option
click next
click yes



















In the installation summary screen click configure



















In the configuration progress screen if the progress completes 100% click next



















In the installation complete screen click finish
